John Mendoza

Dominant vertical and horizontal thrusts mark the distinct style of a John Mendoza painting. Abstract, expressionistic, with a touch of realism also are part of a Mendoza painting. Mark Arnest, art critic, named him a “master colorist” and his use of color is extraordinary.

Mendoza is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society. His opaque watercolors translate equally to oil painting and the John Deaux gallery houses a large selection of this prolific artist’s watercolors as well as his large oil paintings on canvas.
