Dorothy Mendoza

Referred to by art critic Mark Arnest (the Colorado Springs Gazette) as a master colorist, Dorothy Mendoza’s paintings are indeed bold, colorful and masterful. In recent years, Mendoza’s work has evolved from more traditional to her current unique, layered; line oriented, and textured painting style.

Using transparent washes with some elements of opacity Mendoza is equally proficient and prolific at painting watercolor on paper and acrylic on canvas. The gallery exhibits a large selection of her paintings.
